Apply it and leave it for about 3 minutes as directed. I can tell the alpha hydroxy is working, it is renewing and firming up my skin. I'll use this occassionally but for my daily use, I like the St Ives Apricot Scrub, medicated (keeps away blackhead, pimples etc) I've been using St. Ives for years and I always get compliments on my skin.

On the other hand, yes, lactic acid has hydrating properties and it's pretty gentle on the skin, so it can be quite beneficial, but I still wouldn't use it on a daily basis. That is great it worked for you. From you description you used the Apricot Scrub as a mask type treatment. Very interesting. The only time I have used St. Ives Apricot Scrub was a few years ago as an actual scrub. I found the texture was to coarse and actually scratched my face.
